Rules and Guidelines
Welcome to Mountain Top! The following details are meant to enhance everyone’s experience while visiting our campground. Failure to follow these guidelines may force us into a position of having to ask you to terminate your stay earlier than you had planned.

Guest Type Code
- A “Mountaineer” is the primary registered guest at Mountain Top RV Park. This person’s name is on the site rental agreement and they are financially responsible for the site. There can be up to two Mountaineer’s listed per site. These person’s must be of the same household.
- A “MT Guest” is an additional person or persons registered on a site as part of a Mountaineer’s party.
- A “MT Visitor” is an additional person or persons who are not registered on a site. This includes visiting family members, friends, people just “dropping something off” and people who are “just dropping in to say hi”. This term does not apply to delivery drivers, someone dropping off a registered guest at their site and then leaving the park etc, but rather a person that plans to stay at the park and visit.
-All Sites-
1. Check-in is from 2:00pm - 6:00pm and Check out time is by 11:00am. Checkouts after 11:00am will result in another day’s charge.
2. There are no refunds for early departures.
3. Mountain Top RV Park is not responsible for articles lost, stolen, or damaged or for damage that may occur to your RV, vehicles etc.
4. Your site area should be kept in a clean, safe and tasteful condition. All site decorations are subject to management review and approval. Our feelings on site decor are “less is more”. We want all to be able to primarily enjoy the beauty of our natural surroundings.
5. All lawn furniture, grill set ups, pet fencing, storage containers etc is subject to management review and approval.
6. Each site is allowed to display up to 1 (one) American flag in proper condition. No lighted flags are allowed so as not to detract from the natural surroundings of the park.
7. Signs or other visual symbols that contain any vulgarity, depict the Confederate flag or represent politics or political candidates may not be displayed.
8. There should be no screwing/nailing of anything into any trees - this will kill the tree.
9. Only one registered RV per site. No RVs are allowed on cabin sites or tent sites.
10. Subletting of your site is not allowed.
11. There are no tents allowed on Cabin or RV sites.
12. Proper attire - tops and bottoms - are required on all sites if you are outside of your RV. The only exception to this is if you are within the pool fence.
13. In New Jersey the legal drinking age is 21 and will be strictly enforced. You may only drink alcohol at your own campsite. Alcohol is prohibited in the common areas including the pool and gameroom.
14. Being intoxicated or consuming alcohol to the point of physical or mental impairment is not permitted.
15. Individuals using profane language or acting in such a manner that they may be injurious or annoying to others (in the opinion of management) will be asked to leave the park.
16. Vandalism or other unseemly or rowdy behavior shall not be permitted.
17. Smoking of any kind, including vaping is only allowed at your own site or at the designated smoking area, as long as it is done in a way that will not directly or indirectly impact the experience of other guests. This includes no smoking in the back forest area or walking trails.
18. Cigarette butts should be disposed of in an ash tray only - not on the ground of your rented site or in the fire rings. Fees may be incurred if we find cigarette butts needing cleaned up on the ground of your site.
19. Smoking of any kind, including vaping is not allowed in cabins. There is no smoking in common areas. Illegal drug use is not permitted.
20. Be considerate of your neighbor’s site and space. Please do not walk through other sites. Use the roads and trails provided and refer to the RV park map for the location of the common areas.
21. The use of fireworks, including but not limited to sparklers or other forms of explosive or incendiary devices are prohibited.
22. Absolutely NO waste water, gray or otherwise, is to be dumped on the ground. This is in accordance with New Jersey State Law. If you are on a site without septic connections, a dump station is available for you free of charge or we offer a honey wagon service.
23. Hiking trails are for daylight hours only. Climbing the rock face is strictly prohibited.
24. The following are prohibited at Mountain Top: guns of any type, skateboards, all terrain vehicles, feeding the wildlife, clotheslines, drone usage, lighted signs.
-Children-
1. Parents are responsible for the conduct and safety of their children at all times. Direct adult supervision of all children 14 years old and under is required at all times in all campground areas including the game room and play ground.
-MT Visitors-
1. All MT Visitors must be registered using our Visitor Registration Form. You can find this form on the guest page link that was sent to you, on the handout you may have been given at check in, as well as posted at the main building next to the office door.
2. Depending on your site agreement, visitors fee’s may apply. Please inform your visitors of this, as many are not campers, and do not anticipate a fee.
3. All MT Visitors vehicles must be parked on the Mountaineer/MT Guest's designated site and may not stick out into the road. If parking is not available on the Mountaineer/MT Guest's site, the MT Visitor may park in the parking lot if space is available. Under no circumstances are MT Visitors allowed to park in sites other than the Mountaineer/MT Guest that they are visiting.
4. We have the right to limit the number of MT Visitors a Mountaineer/MT Guest may have.
5. All MT Visitors must leave the park by Quiet Time, 10:00pm.
-Pets-
1. We allow quiet, non aggressive pets.
2. No more than 2 pets are allowed per site.
3. No excessive barking dogs will be allowed.
4. All animals must be current with state required vaccinations and provide proof of such to management if requested. Owners are legally responsible for their pets and any injuries or damage caused by them.
5. All animals must remain on a hand held leash if outside your RV. Pets are not allowed to be tethered outside alone, or left unattended at any time, even on your own campsite.
6. Please clean up after your pet and dispose of all waste appropriately.
7. Pets are not to be bathed in the public restrooms or showers.
8. Pets are not allowed: in or at the pool area, in the cabins, in the office, in the game room, in the laundry room or in the bathroom / shower facilities.
9. Please do not walk your pets through other people’s sites - only in your own site or in the common areas.
-Vehicles-
1. The speed limit within the park is 5 mph. This speed limit is strictly enforced to ensure the safety of all. It is your responsibility to inform any visitors you may have of this speed limit.
2. Only park in your designated site area. There is a limit of 2 vehicles per site unless there is prior approval given by management.
3. Motorcycles and motorized adult scooters may be used as transportation directly to and from your site to River Rd. They may not be used for your pleasure throughout the RV park.
-Trash and Recycling-
1. Dumpsters are located at the rear of the clubhouse building.
2. These dumpsters are only for trash generated at the park.
3. No large items such as televisions, patio furniture, satellite dishes, appliances etc. should be disposed of in the dumpster.
4. No trash or trash items should be left on top of or around the dumpster. If it does not fit in the dumpster it should not be disposed of at Mountain Top.
5. Do not leave trash, trash bags or food on your site as this will attract wild animals and become an unsafe situation. Please dispose of these items properly.
6. Please flatten cardboard boxes.
7. We highly encourage recycling what you can. Recycled items must be put in the recycle container loose - not in a bag.
-Pool-
1. There is NO LIFEGUARD at the pool. Swim at your own risk.
2. Children under the age of 14 must always be accompanied by an adult at the pool.
3. Pool Hours are 1pm - 5pm Saturday and Sunday, or by pre approved appointment, if the owners/caretakers are on site and the pool is open.
4. Pets are not allowed in or at the pool area.
5. Please be respectful of other guests who are also using the pool or pool area.
6. For your safety, if there is a storm approaching, leave the pool area immediately.
7. Please do not leave your trash behind.
8. No food or glass containers are allowed in the pool area.
9. There are additional pool rules posted outside of the pool gate.
-Common Areas-
1. Please do not put trash or food scraps in the sinks or drains as it will cause clogs and create issues.
2. There is no smoking of any kind allowed in common areas. There is a designated smoking area near the bath house or you may smoke at your own campsite. There are no exceptions to this rule.
3. No glass bottles are allowed in common areas.
-Quiet Time-
1. Quiet hours are from 10PM until 8AM. This allows all to have a relaxing evening and peaceful morning.
2. Outside of Quiet hours, please continue to be mindful of your noise level and be respectful of your neighbors. All noise must be confined to your campsite. If you, your radio, your tv, etc. can be heard from the next site or the road, it is too loud.
-Fires-
1. Campfires are permitted in designated areas only as weather permits and there are no burn bans active.
2. Campfires must always be attended and extinguished with water, not sand or gravel.
3. Campfires must be out before retiring for the night.
4. Please only use the fire rings provided, or you may use your own fully enclosed fire pit.
5. Mountain Top RV Park is part of the state forestry program. Therefore the only firewood that is allowed to be burned at the park is firewood that is purchased on site. This is to prevent the spread of insect infestations.
6. There is no cutting or disfiguring of trees allowed.
7. There should be no burning of plastic, metal, glass, trash or other debris.
-Neatness Policy-
Sites and decks must be kept neat and tidy, visibly appealing at all times. Guests are responsible for keeping these areas free of debris and clutter including but not limited to: construction materials, appliances, excessive amounts of plants and site decor or outdoor cooking equipment. Guests may not use their sites or decks as a storage area for items that do not fit in your RV or closed storage shed/container. Only furniture intended for outdoor use may be used or kept on your site or deck. Management reserves the right to require immediate cleanup or removal of items deemed in violation of this policy.
